I guess most of you must have probably felt sick and tired about reading entries of me going to swimming with some friends of mine already so this might be one of the last entry about me going to swimming, okay?
Barely just recovered from sunburns days ago, Chi How and Jimbo have been craving about going to swimming again!
So since I've not suffered that bad from my previous sunburn, I decided to join them.
We first met at the stadium's swimming pool. Me and Nazrin were the first to arrive. Then came Chi How. And then, James. And finally, Chee Wei.
As we were about to pay the $2 fee and enter, we were told by one of the female attendant that we can only swim at the pools which were at least 2m to 5m deep and that the swimming pool which were much shallower (0.5m - 2.0m) were closed due to technical problems.
Of course we felt upset. James did not have any problems swimming at the deeper pool, but some of us were hesitant, especially me.
Stadium's pool, at least 5m deep.
Because I am so noob in swimming, swimming in deeper pools are too risky for me, so I strongly suggest we walk to the Anggerek Desa swimming pool which is just near by.
I'm already feeling so lazy to have to walk to Anggerek Desa. What's more, the weather is damn hot, ok?!
Since the stadium's swimming pool is closed, there must be a lot of people at Anggerek Desa.
Actually not so many people..
So the first thing we did after paying the $1 fee at Anggerek Desa is to go to the changing room, apply sunblocks and change into our swimming outfit.
Guys applying sunblock may seem feminine to you guys, but hey, preventing another sunburn from happening is still better than having to cure it.
Something actually did not feel quite right at the changing room. As Nazrin was about to wash his hands at the sink, he saw something extremely disgusting at the trash bin.
My god, what is that, you tell me!
That is not just one, but two underwears, allegedly thrown by someone who doesn't want it anymore!
It might have been better if those were designer brand underwears but they're not, and they are obviously an eyesore! I'm sorry if you were eating or having your meal while reading this, hopefully you don't puke everything out onto your monitor. :)
Anyways, apart from that unwanted underwear, everything seems fine yesterday.
Too bad they weren't any girls wearing bikinis yesterday, instead, most of the girls who went swimming yesterday actually wore normal t shirts and pants. Some of them even wore jeans! That is just... plain.. hardcore.
And then I saw this kid.
'WOW!' is my immediate reaction after seeing this kid! I suppose that is just one of the grandsons of the Michelin tyres' mascot! Can you actually count the number of fat layers?!
You might think he had too much Big Mac from McD but I reckon he had too much Ayamku Spring from Ayamku, don't you think so? :p
Later, Khairil and Jimbo came, and that's it. Our party yesterday consisted of only me, Nazrin, Chi How, James, Chee Wei, Khairil and Jimbo. It's not much for a gathering between friends, but seriously, it's more than enough for a swimming session. At least we were able to play a 4-on-3 water rugby. ;)
From L to R: Chee Wei, James, Jimbo, Chi How, Kharil and Nazrin.
We had our lunch at the pool's canteen which is also the vendor itself.
Luckily we got served by a young lady instead of the anrgy-looking guy I mentioned in the previous post.
Jimbo dancing to the tune of the radio.
I got myself a king burger this time and I can say, it is more satisfying than any other burgers they can prepare. Sorry for no pictures of the burger. I ate the burger as soon as it arrives, then Jimbo keep seducing me by singing songs to me.
James ordered Nasi Katok at first, and then, ordered ring donuts.
It seems tasty in the picture, but you can check James' 'review' from this picture below.
Don't be fooled by his looks, he actually enjoyed the donuts very much.
After we had eaten, some of us applied our sunblocks again because the instructions of the sunblock advised us to use it in every 2 hours.
Jimbo applied some sunblocks on his face too, but then, it made him look like a white demon.
After applying sunblocks for the second time and everything, James happily dived into the pool.
And then, our ball accidentally fell into the deeper side of the pool.
None of us dared to jump down the 4.5m deep pool and even when Jimbo tried to swim in this deeper part of the pool, he have to keep on holding to the ledge at the edge of the pool all the time.
Jimbo's traumatic look after swimming in the 4.5m deep pool.
So what we can do is wait for the ball to flow to the edge and then collect it.
At the same time, James also discovered another area where you can also take a shower.
Well, it is of course up to you to either take a shower here or at the changing room, but I would prefer to shower in the changing room.
After we all got tired of swimming, we got out of the pool and went to the changing room to get all washed up in the shower.
And some of us got hyper and danced while having shower.
And then I caught Khairil doing this.
Ooops..
Don't worry, Khairil. It may seem odd, but everything is perfectly normal.
We all have our own secrets too. :p

Futsal and Swimming in One Day
Recently, we had a futsal match against some friends of Nazreen at Harun's Gym.
Our team consisted of only Wafi, Nahri, Nazrin, Me, Zul H Faiz, Nazreen, Fathul, Jimbo and Izzat.
It was a six-a-side match, and we won 13-10, much to our delight.
After the futsal match, we are supposed to go to the National Sports Complex Swimming Pool, but unfortunately, James told us that the National Swimming Pool is closed due to some technical problems, so we had no choice but to change our swimming destination to Anggerek Desa.
Sigh~ How I wish the National Swimming Pool wasn't closed, because the National Swimming Pool can surely kick Anggerek Desa's arse hard anytime in terms of cleanliness and safety.
The reason why I hate Anggerek Desa is mainly because Anggerek Desa has only got one pool.
One pool shared between kids, teenagers, adults, and elderlies!
Okay, I know there is another small pool in Anggerek Desa specially made for the kids, but it doesn't seem like any kids would swim there.
Another reason why I don't like Anggerek Desa is that, they don't sell good foods.
I bought a Chicken Burger with Cheese, a Baby Roti John and a can of 100 Plus Lime from the vendor in Anggerek Desa and I don't feel full and satisfied at all.
What's more, the man from the vendor who served us has an extremely angry-looking face.
Everytime I told him what I want to order, the guy would stare back at me with his angry-looking eyes, and say "Apa?!".
The other bad thing about Anggerek Desa is that there isn't much shelter and the pool is directly under the hot sun.
I've swam here before and I got sunburnt. I swam here yesterday and now I got sunburnt again! Not only me, I bet the rest of the guys who swam yesterday must've suffered as bad as me too!
Apart from all these bad things about Anggerek Desa, there were actually quite a lot of people there yesterday.
We even see girls wearing bikinis! Now that's something we don't see everyday.
None of us were "really" swimming that day, as most of us were merely playing in the pool. We also played rugby in the water using Wafi's futsal ball. It was fun, and not easy to play too especially in the pool.
James trying to be vain.
That day, only me, Nazrin, Wafi, James, Thedoric, Chi How and Edison came. Edison came late whereas Wafi went home early.
The weather turned from good to bad yesterday as the rain fell so suddenly.
For safety reasons, the lifeguards came and ordered everybody out of the pool.
Jimbo, who hung his sweaty futsal clothes earlier on the chairs provided to dry would then collect his clothes in a less-drier state.
Since the rain has spoiled our mood for swimming, we then opted to go to somewhere to eat.
Since we have already eaten at the swimming pool's vendor earlier, we all then chose to go Orchid Garden Hotel's Goldiana Cafe. The rain has stopped already, by that time.
I have been to Orchid Garden Hotel before for some wedding dinners and huge events, but I've never been to Goldiana Cafe before.
As we all stepped into the restaurant, we saw a huge projector screen being held up showing highlights of previous Euro 2008 matches.
I then realised Goldiana Cafe operates until late hours so that hotel guests or customers can come and watch Euro 2008 matches live during this Euro 2008 season.
There are even LCD screens placed on the side of the walls if the projector screen is too far away for you to see.
My first impression of Goldiana Cafe was that everything here seemed so lavish to me. I wasn't really sure at first whether I could pay for the foods here.
At first, we even thought the staffs at Goldiana Cafe might chase us away because we were wearing slippers instead of shoes. I was wearing a sleeveless shirt, a short pants, slippers and carrying a huge bag that time. So does that make me the first one to get chased away?!
There wasn't much people eating by the time we arrive. The only customers at that time are an old English couple presumed to be the hotel guests and another woman sitting next to the English couple.
It took us quite a while to look for our seats as there were 7 of us, and only a few of the tables in Goldiana Cafe can accommodate up to 7 of us.
The waitress showed us the menu, and I think we really took our time to order the foods because everything here seems so expensive. At least not in our budget anyway.
We ordered Pizza du Chef for all of us to share, Tiah ordered Assorted Sandwiches for himself and I ordered Spaghetti Bolognaise for myself.
I did not order any drinks to save money. What's more, I still got a bottle of water with me at that time.
I also learned that there will be International Buffet dinner of different styles every night, but sadly, the buffet starts at 6.00pm and neither of us would be staying later than 6pm.
Shortly, our pizza arrived.
For just $9, we get this 8 pieces of pizza so full with cheese. We had a hard time trying to divide the last piece of pizza though, as all of us had our share.
So James volunteered to cut the last piece of pizza into 7 smaller pieces so that everyone can have an exact share of this pizza, while others also tried to help.
Watch the guys trying to cut the last piece of pizza.
So after everyone had their 1 and a half piece of pizza, we then sat down and talked for a bit, after a very tiring day.
The weather turned cold and windy while we're eating. I then called up my dad to pick me up.
Who would've thought the pizza could be this cheesy?
Overall, I think Goldiana Cafe is not a bad place to eat, if you're looking to eat good food at a nice, and quiet environment.
Sure, this place may not be as luxurious than Empire Hotel or Sheraton, but it is still worth a try especially when you're feeling hungry after swimming at Anggerek Desa rather than eating at the vendor itself.

Seria the Oil Town
I had a small family trip to Miri last Tuesday, but before that, we stopped at Seria before embarking our journey to Miri.
The journey started as early as 6.00am, and whenever we had a long journey like this, it is always advisable to stop somewhere, have a rest, and continue the journey.
Seria is an old town which has been developing over the years. It is the heart of the oil industry in Brunei.
So basically, if it's not for Seria, there wouldn't be any free education in Brunei and studying in MD wouldn't be this cheap either.
UNI Arcade in Seria.
For me, the best part of this whole journey to Miri has to be eating at Seria's foodcourt.
The foodcourt here is quite new, and surprisingly, there are even stalls selling non-halal foods here! So basically, the food court is divided into 2 sections, halal foods on one side, and non-halal foods on the other side.
As soon as I stepped into this food court, I felt that everything here are very different from the food courts we have at Brunei-Muara District.
For instance, the food courts in Brunei have stalls named 'Excellent Taste', 'Jollibee', 'Machi Eating House', 'Singapore Chicken Rice' and so on.
But in Seria, you get food stalls named after their boss.
Kafe Malar Air Kiong. Syarikat Bong Yeng Chiang.
Gerai Makan Wong. Restoran Liza Ana.
Gerai Makanan Phang Bun Hin.
Syarikat Lee Teck Ming,
and so on!
So, what if the boss has a funny name?
Ever heard of the name 'Wong Pa Loi'?
How bout 'Lau Sai King'?
Ok, maybe I went a bit too far.
But if you ever get the chance of eating in this foodcourt, there's a stall called 'Syarikat Lee Teck Ming' which you definitely have to try, at least IF you've never eaten here anyway.
Don't be fool by the stall's name, the stall here serves Fried Kuay Teow, which the taste is so unique that I'll always have to ask the waitress to give me a bigger portion aka "kuay teow tambah".
Sadly, this kuay teow is not from the halal section, therefore my Muslim friends are unable to give it a try.
Dubbed by people as "Seria Kuay Teow", restaurants all over Brunei has been trying to mimic the fried kuay teow served here because it tastes so nice that you won't be able to find any stalls selling kuay teow as tasty as this outside of Brunei.
Yes, for me, the recipes are worth dying for.
I admit I'm not a kuay teow lover. In fact, I hated it. But when it comes to this stalls Fried Kuay Teow, nothing can stop me from eating it.
The bad thing about eating here is, the waitress begin to serve you as soon as you arrive, even before you can find a place to sit!
The other bad thing about eating here is, there's no toilet.
Unfortunately for me, I suddenly had this little stomachache while waiting for my kuay teow to arrive, and I was told by one of the waitresses that the nearest toilet is located at the plaza building next to the food court!
Because the time is still so early, none of the shops in the plaza were open. Every entry to the plaza are being locked down by the gates.
So, I had no choice but to 'tahan' my stomachache, finish my kuay teow, and then go to some public toilets nearby.
After paying $0.20 and had a good time releasing toxins in the public toilets, I then saw this.
WYWY Enterprise operating as a small kedai runcit!
WYWY stores in Brunei sells "high-tech gadgets" now, but the WYWY in Seria serves as a kedai runcit.
Hmm.. I won't be surprised if there's a kedai runcit named "Dee Jay Enterprise" or "QQeKediaRuncit" in Seria.

Farewell Azmi
short talk: Ahh~ Finally. Something to blog about! Its always been black black & black. Now its gonna be red XD (Desmond was supposed to blog about this. But he's kind enough to let me do the honor)
*******************
So yea, we went out to Cheezbox last night to have one final outing with Khairul Azmi. He's leaving for Malaysia some time this week. I think. So, he's the 4th guy to leave us, after Asad, who left us for Morocco; Huzai, who left us for Malaysia (East); and Andy, who left us for Japan.
The plan was to go there at 7.30pm yesterday. I received the information at around 6.45pm! Such short notice! What's more, I've already eaten!XD
Moving on~
We spent about an hour at Cheezbox. We drank, we ate, and we talked. I think no one realised that we were supposed to treat Azmi that day. I just realised it today xp Everyone paid for their own food, including Azmi. Ah well, he's rich anyways xp xp
After that, we had one last round of Counter Strike with Azmi! He's actually good in CS, you know. I didn't expect that! I thought he prefered books than games!
That pretty much sums up last night's outing.
L to R: Gary, Me, Azmi, Asnawi, Wafi, Desmond & Renzo
Okay, more about Azmi...
My first impression of Azmi when he first arrived at SOASC in form 4: 1)Thought he was a loner. 2)Thought he was a geek. 3)Thought he was a rich kid.
And after 2 and a half years studying with him, I found out that: 1)He is not really a loner. Just the quiet, cool & calm guy. 2)He is NOT a geek. Well, atleast he plays CS. And good at it too! 3)He is indeed a rich kid! But not arrogant ;) 4)He is easily bullied by us!Hahaha! One piece (<< those that hang out with him in block 4 will get this :p)! 5)He is good at computer stuffs too!
Overall, he's actually a nice guy =D
Friend, you will be missed.. =)
All the best there, yea =D Visit our blog frequently to update yourself with our lives ;) You guys can check out his blog here.

Kuai Siaw Ahh!
Boon Hui's birthday party last night at Excapade Sushi Restaurant was a blast.
Boon Hui's birthday should have been today, which is Saturday, 14th of June, but he chose to celebrate the big day last night, which is a day earlier because he couldn't make it on Saturday.
We were the longest and noisiest table in the whole restaurant.
The guy who turned 18.
The waitresses there were quite annoyed by our behaviour because we tried to do something silly like stacking the sushi plates up high to compete with the other group and see who can stack it up higher.
In the end, the waitresses have to come several times and take those plates away. James even tried to put up the huge black bento set on top. LOL.
The most cheerful moment came when the birthday cake arrives.
Everyone sang the birthday song, so full of energy. But Boon Hui did not even bother to make a wish, so he blew the candles off right away, much to everyone's disappointment.
But then, Boon Hui smelt something fishy.
Looking at the cake more closely.
He looked closer at the cake. Something is definitely wrong with it.
Oh why, of course, it's not even his cake!
The cake is should've belonged to this girl named Moi Fen! She must've been looking for her cake everywhere! The candle wax has already dripped half-way down the cake, and now poor little Moi Fen have to enjoy her birthday cake in a most undesired way.
Boon Hui now folding his sleeves, trying to find the person who delivered the cake.
Luckily the rest of the people did not just sit down and watch, it is actually quite good of them to realise the mistake and quickly ask for the cake which should've been Boon Hui's.
And now luckily, Boon Hui took his time, make sure the cake has his name on it, and then blow the candles off.
It was a very good party, but the bill's must've been really thick, considering that there's more than 20 people who went there.
The correct cake.
Nevertheless, thank you Boon Hui so much for inviting me to your birthday dinner. You knew I am supposed going to another wedding ceremony held somewhere else last night, but you insisted on inviting me to your party. I really appreciate every bits of moment at Excapade last night.
I do hope you enjoy the present we gave you, shared between me, Gary and James.
Happy Birthday.
Regards, Desmond.

My Tribute To SOAS College
Since the day I left SOAS, I have never given a proper farewell to the school, in which I spent my 5 years studying in during my secondaries.
After spending my entire kindergarten and primaries in Chung Hwa Middle School, my mum told me that SOAS College will be the place where I'll continue my studies. At that time, I have absolutely no idea of what danger lies ahead in SOAS.
Excited and all ready to go, my first day in SOAS didn't turn out to be a good debut.
There's an extremely heavy rain on my very first day at SOAS. Everywhere around the school is flooded. Even my parents have to ask the prefects and seniors for a route which ain't floody.
After a 3-hours long orientation at the school's auditorium, we moved to our respective classes, with our new form teacher and new classmates! I was in M1A during Form 1.
There were lots of new faces. As I look around to see who my new classmates were, I thought Gary was a nerd/bookworm/gig, and I even thought Tiah converted to Islam, because he was wearing a songkok. I knew Tiah way early from Chung Hwa, so SOAS is not a total lonely place for me.
As Tiah saw me, still wearing his songkok, he told me right away: Tiah: Woah Desmond! Where's your songkok? You can't avoid it man, you'll surely have to wear it tomorrow. Desmond: What? My cousin Ricky has been in SOAS for more than 1 year already and he has never worn a songkok to school before, not even once.
Yes, SOAS doesn't require you to wear songkok. It was a good escape for me, because I look damn weird with a songkok.
After we get to know where our classroom were, and got our free textbooks already, it's about time to go home. Me and Tiah tried to head for the exit gate, but then, we got lost around the school!
Fortunately, Tiah's father went inside the school to look for us, and we were able to go home.
The Golden Jubilee monument.
Nazrin and Huzai are one of my very first few friends in SOAS as they sat right in front of me and Tiah.
On the second day of school, we chose our own table, which we would use it for a long time. For instance, Tiah picked a very long table so that he could put a lot of stuffs on the table. And then we were told to use a table cloth, in which we would write our name and draw something on the table cloth itself. It was fun. At the end of the day, the class monitor were given the duty to collect all the table clothes and place them on our form teacher's desk so that no one would forget to bring it, nor it would be stolen. The same thing goes to the brooms and dustpan.
Form 1 is the time when we were all still very very young, playing with kids stuff and so on. We would play with pens almost everyday in school during recess. We even tried to modify our pens by clipping a lot of rubber grips to the pen and some of us even used big, heavy metal pens enhanced with rubber grips to play. We continued to play with pens for a long time until one day, our form teacher got angry and confiscated all of our rugged and modified pens. I felt sad because my pen was still new.
We also played 'Cara', 'Hide and Seek' and also 'Ice and Water' around the school's compound. Sometimes, it is really tiring because SOAS is not a very small place. I remember I would usually run from my class to the library, through the woodwork classrooms, then the canteen and also basketball court just to not get caught by my friends.
I still remember how often we used to discuss matters about WWE to each other. I told them how much I liked Stone Cold Steve Austin, Nazrin told me where to buy the latest WWE pay-per-view disc, Tiah told me how cool the newest WWE games were and so on.
Someone then brought beyblades to school. This then inspires everyone to play with beyblades and we would always play during recess time too.
We even competed with each other and see whose beyblade would be the last one spinning. And then, someone came up with the rule which requires us to use only original and genuine beyblades.
Some even went as far as bringing the whole gigantic beyblade plate to school.
Beyblade plates.
One day after school, instead of going home, I played beyblade with some friends for quite a while that even my uncle who was waiting in the car to pick me up have to get inside the school and look for me.
Soon, someone introduced us to the card game of Yu-Gi-Oh!. If I'm not mistaken, I think Tiah is the one who started it. And then, everyone began to learn how to play with a miniature sized guide book.
Toon Monsters.
Occasionally, we would also organise a Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament, and at one time, it was held at our school's grandstand in which all the participants have to pay a small fee to contribute for the winning prizes.
The winning prizes are merely a bunch of card protectors. I didn't join the competition because I'm not willing to pay and I don't even know how to play, eventhough I myself have some of these Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. Gary emerged as the winner. I then traded in some of my own card protectors with Gary just to get his newly won rugged metallic blue card protectors.
During Form 2, most of us turned from M1A to M2A, which means, everyone remained at the same class.
Asad came to SOAS in Form 2 and sat somewhere near me in the class.
Form 2 - M2A. Asad is not present in the picture.
During form 2, we continued playing with Yu-Gi-Oh! and beyblades, showing no signs of growing up.
In Form 3, things started to change. Again, most of the M2A turned to M3A.
Unfortunately, some of our classmates who didn't get good results were forced to move to other classes whereas students from other classes who got good grades were promoted to M3A.
Hussin and Azmi became express students and advanced to Form 4.
We were still young, but this is the time when we started to learn how to act cool, care about our looks and tried so hard to be ambitious and be a real man.
This is also the time when most of us have our own mobile phones. We would often send SMS to each other and ask about our latest homework and the due dates.
Because we got so smart and tried to leave our hair long, some of us became easy targets for the discipline masters. So far, I got my hair cut twiced and phone confiscated once. It was not funny.
The funniest thing happened during Form 3 is when some guy accidentally "shit-ed" in his own pants inside his classroom! James (aka Lorenzo) was so terrified of the smell that he took someone's bottle of perfume and sprayed the whole place with it.
Time flies. In Form 4, we are no longer sorted in classes of A, B or C. We became the Upper Secondary students. M4Sc1 is the class.
Khairulazmi, arguably the quietest guy with the hardest muscle, Thedoric, Andy and Asnawi joined SOAS.
In Form 4, we no longer talk about kids stuff. Instead, we talk about the 3Cs - Cash, Chicks and Cars.
Form 4 is also the time when we went to the Taman for the National Day Marching practice. We were told to wear in red, and this would continue for a long time until the National Day.
We get to skip classes, and best of all, a small stall selling roti johns and burgers outside our school are selling foods so delicious that I'll buy at least 2 roti johns from them everyday.
Punishment from MIB teacher for not finishing our homeworks.
Sadly, Form 4 is also the time when Asad left us to Pakistan, and then to Morocco. We held a farewell party for him at Mister Pizza and presented him an Arsenal Jersey bearing his name and favourite number.
His name is Asad Ali, by the way.
Form 5 then came. This is the final evolution of our youth.
Lots of things happened.
The game of bottle caps became popular among us in 2007. Everyone in the class would collect bottle caps and start shooting at people around the class.
Hamid shooting a bottle cap.
The impact of the bottle caps are very painful, especially when it is a direct head-shot.
We would also play futsal inside our classrooms whenever we get the chance to. It is very very risky, and the consequences are deadly if you got caught by the teachers.
Tiah once broke a small window by kicking a high ball. Nobody dared to report the incident and some of us even considered to fix the window by ourself. In the end, we used a manila card to cover the gap.
At once, we were attacked by a special needs student after he suspected us of making fun of him. The whole incident is frightening. I was stucked inside the classroom.
Attacked.
His Majesty the Sultan also visited our school during the year to officially open the new Class of 64 Library. The new high-tech library showcases the amazing history and milestones of His Majesty and his time in SOAS as a student in 1964.
Waiting for His Majesty's arrival.
Students of Victoria School, Singapore also visited SOAS. Those days were fun. There were no classes too, as we were free to walk around the school and entertain the visitors with our Bruneian culture. I bet the Victoria School's principal must have had a bad time trying to swallow the ambuyats.
We even tried to make movies, in which Tiah and Wafi would become the lead actors in one of the movies we tried to make.
The final day of school is the most emotional. We took pictures with all of our subject teachers as a memory. All except out P.E. teacher, because he might probably gives us a lecture on how capable he is everything.
Chemistry teacher was about to give us his final lesson, but all of us insisted on taking pictures with him instead of having any lessons.
Last words from Biology teacher.
After all this, I have to say, my time in SOAS is one of the moments that I'll surely treasure.
Suffice to say, there are actually still a lot more to talk about during my time in SOAS. But sadly, I don't think I can ever tell you guys all about it in this entry. At times, I just wish I have a pensieve like the ones from Harry Potter, so that I can relive these memories whenever I want.
Throughout my time in SOAS, I have enjoyed and witnessed many funny and weird moments. That is actually more than what I can ask for, although the facilities in the school is like crap.
There are also lots of students who are wannabes, racist, and kanalan, but who the hell cares?
My boss, whom I worked for during the post O-Level holidays, is also a SOAS student before in the 1960s and he said SOAS used to serve free breakfast and teas to students everyday, with a monthly fee of only $10. In the past, $10 is like the $100 today.
Today, we pay only $30 for 1-year, and the school loaned us textbooks for free. But this comes also with another price - there's no girls in SOAS!
So whenever there's a hot lady or a beautiful female teacher walking by, it would've turned us into horny devils.
SOAS is also infamous for having lots of pondans and gays. So whenever I tell people that I'm from SOAS, they'll ask me, "So are there really a lot of gays in SOAS?".
SOAS College is no doubt the oldest English medium school in Brunei, and yet, is one of the very few all-male school.
The school has produced many promising students, and even most of the Cabinet Ministers in the Bruneian Government are ex-SOAS students.
So after all the 5 years, I'd say, I'm proud to be a SOAS student.
To the SOAS faithfuls, are you proud to be a SOAS student?

The AE vs BE Rematch
We had a rematch of last Saturday's AE vs BE All-Chinese Football Match just now at some time around late afternoon.
Last Saturday, which is also the first game, we lost 5-0 to the AEs. The humiliating result is enough to send some of us to call for a rematch of the game.
So just now, we got more 'recruitments' as Kevin "The Bull" Ah Chen, Edison "The Scandal Man" Tiah, Hua Lik the "Karaoke Master" and Aston "The Potential Goldsmith" Goh joined us BEs, whereas Gary and Joon Mann did not even make any appearance in the game.
The weather at that time is rather fine, though the field is still a bit wet, because of the showers in the early morning.
I changed my role and played as a DMF just now, instead of being the usual full back. It was alright though, I guess, but I didn't perform very good either.
Some of the AEs also volunteered to play for the BEs. When the match started, AEs got a full 11 men on the field whereas we BEs only got 10 men (including the 2 AEs who played for us). At the end of the game, the AEs still got 11 men on the field, whereas we BEs got only 9 men left.
One guy playing for us left the game because his car arrived early. Another guy playing for us left the game because of a karaoke competition.
We were trailing 2-0 in the early minutes of the game, until Yi Ching scored a goal for us. The game became 2-1.
We then found the net again when Kevin scored the second goal for us. The score was 4-2 at that time.
I call his goal the 'Dinosaur Goal' as he runs and fights off the defender like a dinosaur and then scored.
Gahh.. Kevin finally scored. He tried to control macho after scoring the goal, but he just couldn't wipe the smile away from his face.
How Kevin the goalscorer looked like after the game.
He explained to me how lucky he was to score that goal, and it was his very first goal whilst playing in big padang.
Being so happy, I'm sure when he goes to bed tonight, he'll still look like this.
As the game slowly reaches to the end, everyone became so tired. Me, especially, having to run and chase the ball around, marking my players.
We were also told to rush the game as someone else would be using the field too.
The full time result is 5-2. Yeah, we didn't win the game. Damn, the AEs must be getting ready for some party right now. ;-(
I wasn't disappointed with our game though. We played a better game this time, but still, we weren't the better team.
Even KukuBima couldn't change the game for us.
At the end of the game, I suffered a small blister on my foot.
This ain't the only blister I have with me right now. I got another one at my finger.
If you're wondering where I got this blister on my finger from, it's from a badminton game with some friends a few nights ago.
Wasn't my day I guess. I barely had my lunch today.I got killed and knifed by Halim in CS earlier before the football game. I had to suffer a 5-2 loss to the AEs. And I got a small blister on my foot.
So you see, diu or no diu?

Wrong Spelling Again
Recently, I went to a popular eatery somewhere near Bunut.
There are lots of wooden houses at that area, and also a few industrial companies as well.
And then I saw something written on one of the giant red steel containers.
The note is simply this.
Ok, this time, maybe not just my little cousin can notice the mistake, but even my mum could!
In my point of view, I guess that must be both written and spelled by an uncle who wanted to expand his "sevices" but barely speaks ang moh.
Or perhaps, he cannot pronounce the letter "R" properly as well?? I don't know.
Poor uncle. Good luck in the next spelling bee contest.

Bad Name For A Brand
Last night, as I went to my cousin's place for a barbeque dinner, I was told to start the fire on the grill, using this.
COCK brand!
What the f*ck?? How the hell did the manufacturer came up with the brilliant idea of naming the brand of a fire starter "Cock"?
Imagine a situation where a lot of people are gathering at a bbq party and this conversation struck.
Tom: Oh man, how the hell are we supposed to start this fire? I'm starving already! Dick: Quick! Use this cock brand fire starter, it'll be much easier! Harry: What brand?? Dick:COCK brand!
So what do Hokkien people call this thing? Lan jiao brand? I have no idea man!
Will you use Cock brand?
P/S: I've used it, and it works perfectly well. :p
