Moonwalking

Anybody watched Michael Jackson's funeral last night?

The King of Pop was not only a superb singer and a creative dancer, but also a boundary-breaker, a kind-hearted person, someone who cared for the world.

He gathered various singers to sing "We Are The World" in order to raise funds to help famine-relief in Ethiopia, back in 1984. "Heal The World" and "Earth Song" are his other messages to create awareness. It doesn't matter if he's "Black or White". Racism doesn't exist in his world.

Such is the nobility of Michael Jackson.

The famous Moonwalk

Michael Jackson is truly a legend, an irreplaceable entity in the face of music, and society.

Thank you for everything. May you rest in peace...

My top three favourite songs of MJ:

3. You Are Not Alone

2. Smooth Criminal

1. Black Or White

Back to H1N1.

With increasing warriness as to the case of swine flu in Brunei, Thedorico Franchi Chong Cheng Shiong, the latest Bruneian poet (and was interested to join force with DENcorp a few months back :p) composed a poem.

Have a read on it. I thought it's well constructed and humorous at the same time ;)

Thedorico Franchi Chong Sheng Shiong - H1N1 a.k.a Swine Flu Poem

Yet once again its that time of the year again
When the lowly flu exceeds your bargain
Who else can tell us where it came from
When a sneeze sounds louder than a bomb!

Anxious faces emerge all around
Shielded behind hot-selling masks
Inhaling each breath with muffled sound
Warily going about their tasks.

Is it really as deadly as they say?
Even if it smells of holiday
Cases keep soaring in the bulletin
Fear has driven most into quarantine.

The paranoia grows ever so thick
If you cough and cough today
And the next day I fall so sick
I will think of you everyday! =)

Lighten up your day :)
