Flag-waving
Today has to be one of the most memorable day in the history of Brunei.
Royal wedding, that is. And we, despite being in Form 5, were called for flag-waving.
Because this might be the last flag-waving activity that I'll have and also because royal weddings doesn't come by very often, I've decided to go. Heck, attendance is compulsory.
I went to school around 7.20am today just to find out that my classmates were gathering inside our old classroom.
Well, they were playing cards when I arrived.
Playing
Yu-Gi-Oh! cards I mean!
Alright, after that, we were told to collect everything we needed for the flag-waving thingy.
We got our flags...
..foods and drinks...
..raincoats...
..and the badge!
And so we walked and lined beside the graveyard near St. George's School and also somehow opposite to an old building which used to be a hospital I think?
And then we all waited for more than 2 or 3 hours for the royal procession. Despite the long wait, every time spent was erm.. worth it?
While waiting, some media crew approached us and requested to make a short clip featuring some of our boys, saying the line "
You are watching RTB International!", followed by some other lines. I'm not involved in any of them though.
So as the royal procession took place, I waved towards the royal family and I was glad to be waved back at.
The weather today was hot, unlike 3 years ago when it rained heavily. But at least this time we were provided with raincoats. Lol.
